how might one modify the spirit of this challenge to enhance one's living experience while already in a committed relationship? in everyone's experience, is it wise to avoid frequent shared masturbation sessions and reserve intimacy primarily for actual sex, or is it really just porn being the primary issue, and not the actual act of masturbation itself? I recall the old testament's admonition against the spillure of one's seed outside the womb, and I do wonder if perhaps there is some wisdom in such extreme advice beyond the obvious desire of the church to encourage pregnancy at every opportunity. Is there an absolute answer to such a question, or is there a consensus on how much might be too much, alone or together?

i think the consensus is that porn is the enemy and total abstinence from masturbation to break a habitual porn ritual is in the best interests of those currently addicted or recovering. masturbation, in and of itself and in moderation, is fine and healthy and doing so with your partner is fine.

Day 2. Again.
I am beginning to think that the rest of my life is going to be addiction, misery, and just typing about it to other people who will eventually move on. Again.
I have boxing gloves coming in the mail. I can't wait to beat on animal skin hanging from the ceiling or standing upright on the floor. Again.
That being said, I wish I didn't exist most days.
most days means there are days you still want to exist. live for those days, as not everyone is so lucky to have even that much. I know there was a period in my life I wish I had a few days worth living for, and I was lucky enough to wait long enough to find some more. It might be worthwhile to pick up the writings of Marcus Aurelius and Seneca and put yourself to the task, my good friend. Good luck with the challenge and best wishes!

I did not have any particular faith in the power of semen retention until I read its virtues extolled in some old and truth worthy books. It is a hard habit to keep.
Day 1 for me too lads, best of luck.

a bit of a biased source, but the underlying data is quite convincing:

It's quite a first world problem, but a serious one, nonetheless...
