she only canon has this back tattoo in apocrypha and it's the key way you can tell apocrypha jeanne apart from grand order jeanne

in fate grand order jeanne has two alternate timeline clones of herself and from in game events, as well as fan works, they are assumed to behave like sisters

being the oldest jeanne d'arc embodies all the cool big sister tropes anime has to offer, as a side effect this means of the 3 she is also the most honest with her feelings

but shes not perfect, and is fairly easily deceived and not all that smart

thankfully being a saint she can canonically rely on divine inspiration to lead her to whatever her goal is without having to ordain and plan on her own. this is not a joke one of her listed abilities in fate.

in gameplay terms she's classified as one of the ultimate defensive units in the game, with the highest base hp, strong defense against most classes in the game, and her ultimate ability provides invulnerability, defense and a heal at the same time

jeanne alter is pegged as the middle child. she is supposed to be a counterfeit jeanne who became the saint of dragons to get revenge against the church officials who burned her at the stake. technically this is supposed to make her older than regular jeanne, since jeannes existence is her peak as a military commander while alters existence is a post burning at the stake. but since she's a fake and came second, she's not the oldest.

however since her inception the text has left major clues that jeanne alter isnt being completely honest with her feelings ever. she claims to live only for revenge but one of her first acts was to build herself a cast of otome (girls romance visual novel genre) characters around herself.

this makes her of the 3 "the tsundere" so also the most popular by far. she's also the easiest to embarrass

she states she wants nothing to do with jeanne, but in a recent game event she referred to her as older sister by mistake, so again, not honest with her feelings


gameplay wise alter has the highest attack stat in the game, pretty neutral class advantage against everything, and an entirely offensive kit. a night to jeannes day.

also gameplay wise, jeanne attacks entirely with her banner and never draws her sword
alter almost exclusively uses her sword to attack
