And on the subject of the 18th century I recently watched this televised adaption of Mozart's Cosí Fan Tutte, which has some truly inspired scenography. Imaginative and fanciful yet straying far from pretentious regietheater. Hit CC for subs. Also conducted by the great Karl Böhm!

If nothing else listen to the overture and the opening aria (La Mia Dorabella). Mozart in top form during his mature period. Contains important red/black pills about female hypergamy

One of my go to movies is The 13th Warrior.
It is by no means a "classic" movie, but it has a certain charm that I cannot explain. It's like a great adventure book or D&D campaign in my mind.
Always love watching this movie with my brother.

Just watched Hero last night (the 2002 wuxia flick). Phenomenal shit, makes me wanna go on a wuxia kick. Torrented Dragon Inn, A Touch of Zen, and Riki-Oh right after, anyone got any martial art kino recs?
One of my go to movies is The 13th Warrior.
It is by no means a "classic" movie, but it has a certain charm that I cannot explain. It's like a great adventure book or D&D campaign in my mind.
Always love watching this movie with my brother.
I remember this one. It's vaguely based on a true historic event where an arab scholar went and documented the vikings. Weirdly my brother's a big fan of this one as well, has been telling me to see it for like a decade.

Hero is great and Riki-Oh's a true masterpiece. If you haven't seen it, The Young Master with Jackie Chan is a lot of fun

I watched David Cronenberg's second film, Crimes of the Future (1970), yesterday morning and enjoyed it. It's a little rough and the sound design is really barebones, but it was an interesting watch. Like a lot of other Cronenberg movies, bodily corruption and sexual perversion are central themes and it gets pretty weird and nasty by the end. I'd only really recommend it if you like Cronenberg or if a sparse, strange hour long movie with medical psychobabble narration sounds good to you.

Duel to the Death is the best. Buddha’s Palm(1982 I think) has one of the best mini boss fights ever. Bastard swordsman 1&2 Please watch as much Sammy Hung from 1979-1994 as you can in particular magnificent butcher, spooky encounters, pantyhose hero’s, millionaires express

What’s crazy is that most US release versions of Young Master have an edited down final fight. The original which I’ve only seen on an early dvd release is almost 30 min
