kinda weird to watch an entire class of self proclaimed educated enlightened elites embrace becoming authoritarian censors. and like not even being subtle about it.

i expected the horses of apparatchiks cheering for it on twitter
i expected congress to drag ass and not even really care
i expected not going along with the program to get excommunicated
but i really thought when 1984 finally came they would dress it up as sexy and appealing-- you know like they did with apple products and Facebook in the early 00s--but there's none of that
it's the ugliest, whiniest, shrillest people nagging everyone along to their culture of oblivion. there's no vision of a greater future ahead of it, just visions of other forms of expression to restrict and remove after we tackle the current hurdle.

the entire ecosystem of tech products is greying and dying before my eyes. searches return less relevant or interesting results than 10 years ago. youtube can't even recommend me good new channels anymore since my tastes don't fit into their narrow minded thought control patterns anymore. netflix is full of shallow original programming and outright propaganda.

and now they want to let me trust their bureaucratic review boards to police every thought and frog meme that gets posted online. what the fuck is wrong with these people.
