my mother went to school around the same time Spyro Gyra formed in Buffalo, NY. While I'm not their biggest fan, I do have a bit of a sentimental attraction, regardless. It really is music from a time when the sun shined just a little bit brighter:



The sonic palette always reminds me of Toro Y Moi and perhaps is somewhat of an inspiration for his music, especially the earlier works:



this one still remains one of my favorites despite the much larger success of "Anything in Return" and subsequent popular attention of his collaborative efforts...
